Winner of the digital & secure contest 2003
The „digital and secure“ contest was initiated by the initiative
»secure-it.nrw.2005«.
Freelancers, companies and organisations were called to develop a concept to make
electronic processes secure and more innovative. MediaSec and their project partners
were recommended for founding by the county of Northrhine Westfalia.
Winner of the Safe Connected Contest 2003
Safe Connected is a contest held by the initiative of secure-it.nrw 2005.
Secure-it.nrw 2005 was founded by Ernst Schwanhold, the former minister of economy,
small business, energy and traffic of NRW. The target of this initiative is to promote
the competitive capacity of small and middle-sized companies in NRW and enable secure
electronic business processes.
Award of the Capital IT Best 40s 2002
In 2002, MediaSec took part in the contest of the best IT-start-ups by Capital-IT
and was ranked under the “Best 40s”. The Capital-IT contest is annually held by
the leading European Venture Capitalists and is supported by some most reputed
management consultancies.
Winner of the Fraunhofer Prize 1998
The MediaSec SysCoP technology for digital watermarking was awarded with the
Fraunhofer Price in 1998. The Fraunhofer Price honours very innovative and
application orientated technology developments.
Winner of the Founders Contest Multimedia 1997
MediaSec Technologie founder Dr. Eckhard Koch was ranked top 10 at the founders’
contest of the German Ministry for education, science, research and technology
and was awarded with a monetary price to invest into MediaSec.
