MediaSec Technologies develops and markets products and solutions
that utilize patented data-hiding and digital watermarking technology,
which are used in security applications including: protecting intellectual
property rights, authenticity of multimedia content, brand protection,
digital and printed document security and authentication, and the
prevention of check forgery, counterfeiting and copying.
Digital watermarking is a technique used to embed
hidden data in a digital object such as an image, video, or text
file. The hidden data is invisible, and is recovered using MediaSec’s
software, firmware, or a hardware reader such as a scanner or digital
camera. The process of encoding and decoding can be combined with
a secret key code, which provides an extra level of security in
order to protect the watermarked data.
Copy Detection Pattern (CDP)
are digitally created key-based pseudo-random pattern that Look
like 2-D barcodes with intentional information loss. Unlike digital
watermarks, they are perceptible but can be hidden in the design
of the layout. CDPs are highly secure through the use of key encoding
in generation and verification. In addition to copy detection functionalities,
they can carry a payload for track & trace information.
