MediaSign® Digital - Image-/Video Surveillance
Authentication of Digital Images and Videos
Digital images and videos can be easily manipulated, which diminishes
the integrity of the content. MediaSec’s authentication solution embeds
a digital watermark containing the secure hash value of the image, into
the digital image or video. The watermark is invisible to the naked eye
and does not alter the value of the content. Any attempt to manipulate
even a single frame will be detected. A secret key is needed in order to
access the information embedded within the watermark, adding another
layer of security. The date and time of capture is stamped into each
video frame, and attempted removal of frames in the video stream is detectable.
MediaSign Digital® offers
a highly secure and cost effective solution to protect digital images
and video against unauthorized alteration or manipulation. It provides
permanent and inseparable image and video authentication that is invisible
to the naked eye. It embeds the secure hash value of the data's semantics
into the image or frame in the form of a digital watermark. Authentication
features include content, time, source and sequence verification.
MediaSign Digital is an emerging standard that can be used to validate
the integrity of digital evidence used in criminal prosecutions and
civil court proceedings.
